I remember meeting Nitin Sawhney, he arrived with Solve Sundsbo at the
Gladiator prosthetic workshop, we were just winding down and getting ready
for our next feature. The reason for the dramatic pose you see on the album covers was created
because Solve wanted to set the head cast on fire, the pictures were to
feature in the magazine 'Dazed and Confused' .Some years earlier I had cast my
good friend Noboru Tomura in a similar pose I called it the "sceaming head of
Noboru" they liked the idea and as you can see it has a great look .
I was impressed by this young man even though our meeting was short it is a
hard pose to hold, and we talked about things, a very likable man I thought
and my sons agreed, then to hear his music, how talented he is. I am a Nitin
fan and have bought his albums. The wonderful thing about my job is not
always knowing who's going to walk through that door.. thanks for the
opportunity to work with such an amazing talent! |
